Foremilking is recommended by veterinarians around the world as the first step in identifying the presence of mastitis in cows. Moreover, it is a mandatory requirement in many countries!

Foremilking also forms an important and integral part of any comprehensive prepping routine. In addition to identifying mastitis it stimulates oxcytocin release and assists the milk let-down reflex. Foremilking also helps remove bacteria from the teat canal.

The Ambic Strip Cup has been specially designed to provide high visibility of clots or other abnormalities in milk (such as blood) as well as minimising the risk of cross-contamination.  Thanks to the unique anti-splash feature built into the Strip Cup screen, the risk of spreading pathogens associated with ‘flat plate’ strip cups can be reduced.
